Condition:
These presses have been in U.S. government storage.
They appear to be in generally good condition, and
have now been moved to a nearby riggers facility.
Some minor piping/valving may be damaged or missing.
COMMENTS:
These are conventional C-frame hydraulic presses
with top mounted hydraulics. They are flush floor
machines with no pit required. Birdsboro is a well
known top quality American manufacturer. The upper
ram is fitted with a square platen. There is also an
auxiliary horizontal ram mounted in the back of the
throat fitted with a smaller platen guided in a
dovetail in the press bed. The use of this 150 ton
horizontal cylinder is optional.
IMPORTANT
NOTE:
There are TWO of these presses available and they
are identical twin sisters. This means they could
be ganged and operated side by side to give a 700
TON press with a larger bed if so desired.
